The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is a conference geared toward professionals and college-aged students that excel, or hope to have a career, in the Computing Industry. During this conference, women are able to attend seminars organized by topic, or “clusters,” interact and network with fellow women technologists, and even have the opportunity to be recognized in several award ceremonies.
The theme for 2016 was Women & Diversity in Computing. All women who had their hands in some form of computing were able to participate, attend, and speak at the conference. The goal was to showcase women from three fields of computing—industry, education, and government—as well as showcase the diversity of culture within the field of computing.
